Hello, my name is Kevin Stumme and I am a 3D Character Artist, Texture Artist, and Concept Artist with a knack for character and creature design and a background in natural sciences.
I have worked as senior character artist and associate character lead at Outlook VFX, during which time I concepted, modeled, and textured multiple character assets for use in both film and games utilizing Unreal Engine 5.
I am a self motivated artist and am always seeking to improve upon my own skill and to find opportunities to push my craft further.

I've been working as a freelance artist intermittently since 2017, only really diving into it in Summer of 2024. Contracts often involve assisting with 3D modeling and texture work for characters and creatures to be used in various independent film and game productions.
I was invited to give a breakdown of my process of designing creatures for games and film as part of the Game Your Future Conference, held at the Baltimore Convention Center from November 14th - 16th.
I was invited to give a presentation on my work as a part of the IGDA organization in Baltimore. It was a fantastic experience and it gave me a chance to really look at how I go about the design process through a more intentional lens.

In my previous role at Outlook VFX, I was responsible for creating believable character and creature designs, as well as modeling and texturing film quality level assets for an upcoming animated film set within the “Kulipari” IP. I worked directly alongside the Character Lead and Art Director of the project in order to ensure the cohesion of the project's overall aesthetic and assist in delegation of tasks among team members and organizing of weekly meetings, critiques, and progress checks.
